Little Rock Central High Memory Project:General disclaimer
From Little Rock Central High Memory Project
For The Public
Though not considered to be of a large significance, the problem of content and language within the Project could come under question. Articles might contain explicit or derogatory language (in the context of quotes only, and only if it is not in a way intended to offend anyone), as well the view point expressed by the author (or interviewee) might carry a negative, perhaps derogatory connotation. It is not the intention of this Project to express this view point, but due to the nature of the articles expressed within it, it is not possible to eliminate it. We ask our patrons to not be offended by these articles or the remarks they contain, but to take them for what they are, and to know that many of these articles represent a time period where equality was not as universal as it is today, and we cannot take for granted the fact that just 50 years ago students of different ethnicities were not schooled together. We hope that you enjoy the public and the articles it contains.
Article Modification
Because the majority of the articles on the Little Rock Central High Memory Project are student essays, the content is preferred to not be filtered by peers or adults. However, it is the duty of the Project Administrators to filter out content to a degree, as well as edit it as they see fit to ensure overall quality within the project. One can rest assured however, that when presented as such, an essay will be the students work, and not heavily edited. Edits are typically minor in scale, and part of the personality of the articles is in the student who wrote them.
